He DELIGHTS in You!

“For the Lord takes delight in his people.” (Psalm 149:4)
Are you part of God’s covenant family? If so, then guess what? God doesn’t just love you because He has to. He loves you because you are delightful to Him!
You might say He’s head over heels about you!
If you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then you have joined yourself to God’s covenant family. You have been grafted into Israel’s promises. So every promise spoken over the nation of Israel also applies to you.
Ancient covenants were a very serious undertaking. When two parties entered into covenant with each other, they pledged every part of who they were to the other party. They would exchange their lives for one another. And if either party broke the covenant, that offending party would very likely be put to death!
That is just how committed God is to Israel — AND to you.
You are no longer who you think you are. You are no longer who the world, or your parents, or anyone else, says you are. You are His prized possession — His masterpiece.
To the extent that you acknowledge who you are, your life is transformed from the inside out. Your likes and dislikes become more like His. Your very character becomes more like His. Even your outward appearance will change for His glory!
